A lifelong passion for audio electronics, music and software

I'm Jonny Reckless, an electronics and software engineer who has spent a lifetime building things that make sound. It began when I was eleven or twelve, building a Sinclair ZX81 kit with my father, and carried on through teenage years of mail-order effects kits, my own pedal designs and, eventually, complete amplifiers.

Since then I've designed guitar and bass amplifiers, mixing consoles and PA systems at Carlsbro and Trace Elliot, worked for TAG McLaren Audio, NXT and Arcam, and worked on digital audio at Dolby and on Bluetooth audio and signal processing for multiple Internet of Things start-ups. Reckless Technology, founded in England in 1998, is the label for my own work. More about me
